Portland City Championship set, Winship confident!

As the Greater Portland Babe Ruth playoffs heat up, the Portland City Championship is going on as well.  The league has a Champion of all the towns invovled (Ri Ra's is defending Champion) and the league also crowns the Portland team that advances the furthest. (Gribbs lost in the finals last year, so they were crowned the City Champs!) . This year is easy, there are two teams left from the Portland teams, Salvage BBQ and Gribbs.  They play Thursday, at Deering Oaks, game time 5:30.  Salvage is the #5 seed and Gribbs is the #4 team.  Winner is City Champs!

Gribbs head coach, Kevin Winship, is confident.  "I said we would win it last year and we did, I am saying it again, we will beat Salvage for fun Thursday.  Not only do we have better players, but we are a much better coached team.  I would be shocked if we do not 10 run rule them...I am not tryig to be cocky, we are just the better team...."
